ORACLE WINTER GUARD - Registered charity: 1169966
Our mission
We are a non-profit organisation teaching dance and movement using equipment such as flags, imitation rifles and sabres who compete within WGUK (Winter Guard United Kingdom).
We aim to provide a happy and safe environment for all in which members can learn new skills and performance qualities, hopefully giving them a platform to develop social, physical and communication skills that will be transferable to all walks of life.
It is our aim that members will increase self- confidence, fitness and most importantly have fun and find new friends.
About us
We were established in the summer of 2012 in preparation for our inaugural year in competition where our Open Class were crowned Winter Guard United Kingdom Champions and our Junior Class Bronze Medallists in 2013.
Currently we have 3 units:
TOTS - ages 2 to 4 (non-competitive)
JUNIORS - ages 9 to 16
OPEN - 16 and above
We do however cater for young people from the age of 4 and are recruiting for our future CADET unit
The Board
As a non-profit charity we are required to have a governing board that governs our charity by providing strategic direction, ensuring legal and financial responsibility, and upholding its charitable purpose and mission, each bringing their unique expertise and enthusiasm to our charity.
